The Coffee Sessions is about giving people a wake up call about our music. We want people to pay more attention not just because they know us but because of their love for music. If you have lost your love, let us help you find it. This is where you will find great mixes buy us and our friends. I promise you will like it.
What is Blackroom?
Blackroom is a music and art trio that was established in 2011, in Johannesburg. Blackroom is a room of darkness, where one cant see the treasures next to him until a light is lit, this is where the name came from, moving out of the darkness and letting the world know what we can do.
Most still wonder what exactly... Producers and graphic designers Q.Eich and Hamilton Thindisa founded Blackroom in early 2011 while they were schooling at Wits and residing on the same floor (the infamous 5th floor). What started of as a hobby of designing pictures grew to a bigger dream later joined by Matika Tshifhango a young house DJ from Venda. Hamilton went on to be the chief designer of a youth magazine in Johannesburg while the rest of the team established a mini music magazine. Hamilton has now broken in into photography and this is where you will see his exhibitions. Blackroom has released a number of house jams with minimum circulation but it is a struggle we aim to overcome.
It is important that people understand we are not just musicians but we focus on the art. As we always say "Life will be good...soon."
